On her sophomore release Alex E.T. delivers a swirling, crunching, guitar heavy rock album while weaving infectious melodies and high caliber, pop infused song-craft. The making of Color Of Strange was precipitated by the enthusiasm of Beachwood Sparks’ and Curation Records' founder Brent Rademaker. After catching one of Alex's early live sets performing the opening slot for heavy-psych legend Dead Meadow, Rademaker offered his support for the budding act. That relationship paved the way for Alex to build what would become the musical powerhouse behind her next record. In the following months Alex E.T. and her band made their way to the studio of engineer Eric Bauer (Ty Segall, Osees, Wand) who went on to enlist producer/musician Ethan Miller (Heron Oblivion, Howlin’ Rain, Comets on Fire) in the process. In a dynamic collaboration Alex and her team captured her forthcoming release in vivid hi-fi. On Color of Strange Alex weaves a personal potion of 60s and 70s psych, 80s paisley underground and post-punk, sprinkled with sneaky nods to early 90s indie and alt rock.
