“When Dreams Come True" is a song inspired by the claustrophobia brought on by vastness and looseness by narrow passageways. Its roots can be traced back to the fall of 2023 when I wrote the poem that would eventually become the first verse. Having recently turned 23 at that time, I began facing a sense of weariness around what felt like a sudden shift into adulthood. Somehow decisions began to feel as though they carried more weight to them, which led to my posing the question “What happens when your dreams come true?” There’s a certain credence placed on the notion of achieving one's dreams, and I decided to explore what exactly that means. These lyrical themes coupled with an intentional push by the band to cultivate a more minimal sound lead to the song’s rigid groove and nervous intensity.”
