Blone Noble is back with his third single on Curation Records. “Leaders Of The World”
This proto-punk anthem opens with a growling piano and sparkling synthesizers reminiscent
of the disco darkness embodied on Nite Flights by The Walker Brothers. In sardonic Lou Reed
talk-singing fashion, Blone croons, “Haven’t you heard?/ Humanity is out of style/ Leaders Of
The World/ Rule from glass towers...”
The lyrics concern a global war waged by the powers that be to reduce humanity to easily
placated bits of data. In Blone’s view, it’s up to the people to resist the pending Orwellian
take-over.
“The leaders need the people/ But the people don’t need/ The Leaders Of The World!”
